The Smokenator is a stainless steel partition that fits in the lower part of the Weber
Kettle and contains the hot coals. The barrier shields the food from direct heat.
The partition holds a pan containing water rests right on top of the coals which is the most efficient way to fill the kettle with high humidity. This humidity does three things. Keeps food moist (assuring deep smoke ring penetration), keeps temperature lower and
offers the user the best method of passive temperature control.
The chamber holds enough briquettes for about a 6 hour cook at 230 ° F at the Dome. You can smoke a 25 pound turkey!
